Here, in the Derbyshire Peak District we're so lucky to have such fantastic places to play in: hills and valleys, rivers, caves, lovely towns and villages and so many ways to see them. Delve into the communities and you'll find things going on all the time. It was a desire to share this with everyone which led to the formation of Peaklife Sport in 2012. We've been hosting multisport and occasionally other sporting events since, and our emphasis is on preserving the intimate side of races........ None will ever be too big and faceless and everyone will feel welcome. All will be slightly unusual in some subtle way and, just as important as the right equipment, everyone is required to bring a smile.
So please come along and join us sometime. You'll see the best parts of the area and take away a memorable race experience.
The Derwent Duathlon will take place on Sunday 26th March 2017 and will be open for entries in early December. We are pleased to announce that Police Sport UK will again be using this as their championship race. And there might just be some more of that beer again.
The Wildcat Aquathlon and 5k swim are also being planned with the date yet to be confirmed so keep watching this space.
Plans are at an embryonic stage for something new and very special next year. Something very challenging, entirely different to what most of you will have ever done and taking in the very best of the White Peak area. Keep an eye out as things develop.........
The next Derwent Duathlon will be held on Sunday 26th March 2017 and comprises a 7k road run, a 29k road ride and a 4.5k fell run but the choice is yours which run you do first. Location - Fairholmes Visitor Centre, Upper Derwent Valley.
